Crafting isn’t only reserved for art classes, it can be done by all to bring to life wonderful creations. A little hot glue and acrylic paint can go a long way. Here are some fun adult craft ideas to try in your spare time.

DIY farm baskets for chic storage

DIY farm baskets make for a great storage project. You can use them to store linens, towels and other items. These baskets give a rustic yet chic appeal and can be customized to your liking.

For example, add fabric dye to a cloth of your choosing to line each basket. Add a drop or two of essential oils to keep linen items added to the basket smelling fresh and clean.

DIY garden kneel pad

Do you enjoy gardening? Having a kneel pad can save you from knee pain, which often comes with kneeling in the garden. For this DIY project, you may need a sewing machine.

This fun project can be done with a multitude of cloth patterns, so don’t be afraid to experiment with the style you desire. Once you choose a fabric with the pattern you desire, you’ll need cotton stuffing and sewing supplies to make your kneel pad.

Statement doormats

Take your crafts to an all-new level with statement doormats. For this project, you’ll need stencils to add letters and shapes you prefer. You can iron on freezer paper to solidify your designs.

Once you have your mat and the craft supplies for your designs, it’s time to get those creative juices flowing.

DIY gold painted rocks

Another fun and simple craft to consider is gold painted rocks. You’ll need gold paint or imitation gold flakes for this project. You can alternate by painting some of your rocks completely gold, while others have more intricate designs.

There are a plethora of unique and affordable crafting ideas to try which can bring out your creative side. Consider checking out your local craft store for materials for your next craft projects.
